FORM GROUPS FOR MAJOR COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING EVENTS

"We the People" have invested in our city for decades. Our tax dollars have helped pay for major entertainment venues, our parks, and our streets. Yet, we are not using these spaces to host large-scale community fundraising events—events that could help us help ourselves.
We are more than taxpayers—we are investors in our communities, and it’s time we see a return on that investment. By organizing fundraising events in the very venues we’ve paid for, we can generate resources to tackle pressing issues like homelessness, support prevention programs, and strengthen organizations that are ready to collaborate.
I believe there are many people who would gladly join teams dedicated to planning different fundraising events across our venues, parks, and streets. I’ve already started the ball rolling on a major event with the potential to raise over $30 million for our community.
If companies like Live Nation can use our taxpayer-funded venues to make millions, why can’t we the people use them too?
For years, I’ve been seeking a meeting with our community leaders—including current and former mayors—to pitch this idea. I am once again raising my voice on this platform to get these community-driven fundraising events underway. See my other pitch here
