My comment: potholes and street plates, both are damaging. I have had multiple repairs for the under-carriage of my car because of the dis-repair of the streets. With cars speeding and close traffic lanes, one can not move out of the pathway of holes and raised metalplates and obstrusive bolts that damaging tires and vechicles.

My neighbors alley is sinking behind the 4400 block of Catherine Pl and Bircher Blvd. The city have already removed the trash dumpsters out the alley. But we have several senior citizens that have a hard time getting to the trash dumpsters. The city street department stated that it will be another two years for this alley can be repaired. My neighbors need some help.

Don’t just patch, pave the streets. Patching is a waste of money. Only last a couple of months, then it has to be done again. Do it right the first time

@Lasandra Davis call MSD. Lot of houses and alleys are sinking due to collapsed infrastructure. 2 years is too long to wait. Are the forgoing their trash bills for 2 years?

If the city continues to absolutely refuse to repair the streets, please know that if your car is damaged you can and should submit the cost for reimbursement. If everyone did this, maybe then they’d fix our streets.

@Lisa Fritz this only works if the pothole that damaged your car was ALREADY reported to the CSSB and has not been repaired. Even the hatchet repair jobs that are done yet still result in damage won’t be reimbursed because the city considers the pothole “fixed”.

Forget big and fancy programs. Basic infrastructure is collapsing in the City and stuff like making streets drivable is more important than anything else.
