England has cameras everywhere, and police can access footage to help solve crimes. I propose a pilot program that would involve putting lots of cameras in a high crime area to see the impact it has on crime and crime fighting. There are already cameras everywhere- why not put one’s up that are a little higher quality, spaced in a way that limits blind spots? Focusing on crime reduction will go much further towards keeping residents in the city than new event centers and beautification projects will.

Having cameras in the parks would be helpful and maybe deter thieves from destroying the bathrooms.
